Who
are we?
Paula comes from northern Spain and has always been surrounded by words. She studied Spanish Linguistics and began her career as a teacher in a public school. A few years ago, she moved to the Netherlands, where she continues to share her passion for Spanish. With over four years of experience teaching and organizing school projects, Paula brings structure and energy.
Marta comes from the south of Spain and has always found in art a way to express herself and connect with others. Her career began in the world of visual arts, which she has developed between Spain and the Netherlands. With eight years of experience teaching Spanish in various schools, she brings all her creativity to La Mona to design unique materials and activities that make learning much more than just studying.
¿Qué tal?
¡Hooooola!

How is La Mona born?
After several years working in different schools, Paula and Marta realized something: they needed a different, closer, more creative space, where learning Spanish was also a way to connect with other people.
and cultures.
Our goal is to contribute to a growing community interested in Spanish and Latin American culture. This project is a labor of love, created by two professionals with a shared vision and a strong desire to do things well (and with a distinctive touch).

What makes us different?
We create our own materials, designed to make each class dynamic, useful, and tailored to your specific needs. No boring, out-of-context exercises here—everything makes sense and is relevant to you.
We organize meet-ups
and activities for you to practice
Spanish outside the classroom, in a natural and fun way. Movies, games, talks, tapas... any excuse.
It is good to continue learning
and have a good time.
We are preparing collaborations with other local businesses so that the experience of learning Spanish is also a way to discover, connect and become part of a community.
